Goat hide drum supported by Tasmanian timber hoop 15” held in place with hand cut lace. Hand painted and created with love and respect in ceremony. Over 25 years drum making experience. This drum was inspired by a recent trip to the north island of Aotearoa’s geothermal areas. A white whale was also visiting there at the time.. I have long had a connection with the whale and had recently spent time with them in the northern rivers area on the east coast of Australia 🤍 this is my honouring to the land and the majestic being. It may be Migaloo. This band means “ white fella “ to the original people of Australia.
There are four white whales currently residing in our oceans.
